Undervaluing ourselves is a common trap many of us fall into. We often find ourselves undervaluing our worth without even realising it. It's like being caught in a loop, where our belief that the world doesn't value us manifests and perpetuates the cycle. This undervaluation takes a toll on our self-esteem and prevents us from pursuing our deepest desires. We unknowingly tolerate subpar treatment from ourselves and others, causing detrimental effects in various areas of our lives. If this seems challenging, ask a friend. Ask them what they see in you, what they admire, what your unique qualities are. This is great supportive exercise for you both to do with each other.

2. Cultivate Self-Compassion

Shower yourself with kindness and understanding. Embrace your imperfections and honour your journey. Treat yourself with the same love and compassion you would offer a dear friend.

Make this a priority in your week. On a Sunday, make a list of 5 things (big and small) you could do each day to show yourself more love and compassion. Add each of things to your calendar, one a day through your work week. Once it’s in your calendar, commit. Show up to these events like you’re meeting your best friend and watch your goodness bloom.

3. Uplevel Your Surroundings

Surround yourself with uplifting influences, supportive communities, and inspiring role models. Choose relationships, environments, and resources that nourish your growth and empower you to see the greatness within. Take yourself out for a date somewhere that makes you feel amazing, it maybe a coffee shop, walk along the beach, bookshop… the possibilities are limitless.

A digital detox maybe in order. Take time to clear out your old contacts and messages. Unfollow and unfriend accounts on social media that don’t align with your values.

Moving forward make empowering moves. Make choices that feel empowering.

Cultivate a grateful heart by focusing on the blessings in your life. Gratitude opens your eyes to the richness of your life and amplifies your sense of self-worth.

There is so much to be grateful for… your ability to read and understand, the electricity powering the device you’re reading this on, the air you are breathing… and so much more.

The more grateful you are the more you will train yourself to see the value around you and how worthy you already are.

Discover and express your authentic self through creative expression. Whether it's writing, painting, dancing, or any other form of self-expression, let your inner light shine brightly.

It doesn’t have to be “good” it just gets to be fun. A great way to start is to set a timer for 20 minutes and just allow yourself to be and do whatever you are creatively drawn to… most importantly ENJOY the process!

Afterwards, review and see what you can incorporate into your lifestyle.

Build yourself a ‘Wall of Wins’ a space for you to celebrate yourself and remind yourself of your accomplishments! This could be as basic as post it notes on the fridge, maybe a cork board or a full out framed wall.

I started with some Magic Whiteboard on a wall and writing a win of the day, seeing all the wins come together over time was such a great feeling and a wonderful boost when I was having a bad day.
